For the men
In Uzbekistan a wedding morning starts early, with osh. A great rice dish cooked in one huge kazan and shared by the men of both families. By tradition the plov is for the men, and it begins at 8:00 in the morning.

This evening belongs to Shakhzoda and to all the women of the family, friends included.

Travelling to Tashkent
Everything you need to know.
Airport
Fly into Tashkent (TAS), Islam Karimov International Airport. About half an hour from the centre.
Weather
Early October is lovely. Sunny days around 20 to 24 degrees, cool evenings around 8 to 12. Bring one warm layer.
Money
ATMs are easy to find in Tashkent, but bring some cash as well. Most places here are cash first.
Getting around
Install Yandex Go, the local taxi app. It works just like Uber.
Phone
Buy a local SIM or eSIM on arrival, or check your roaming plan.
Where you stay
Housing for the family groups is arranged. Everyone else, write to us and we will guide you to the right area to book in.
